Until Death (Hasta la Muerte) is Plate 55 from the series Los Caprichos. The theme which is the subject of the plate has lent itself to interpretation as a reference to the Dowager Duchess of Osuna, and also to Queen Mara Luisa, renowned for her vanity and her ugliness.
